Susan Johnson is the Director of Outdoor Adventures and The EDGE. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member with RHT. She enjoys hiking, biking, camping, birding, gardening, and wants you to get out and “Find Your Path.”
Ryan Murphy is the Coordinator of Outdoor Adventures. He has worked and traveled in the wilderness across the country and abroad. He thinks that pie is the highest form of food and wants to get outside with you.
Laura Wingfield. From: Lynchburg, VA. Major: Communication. Class of 2016. Laura’s dream outdoor trip is a climbing roadtrip through the west. If she could be any fictional character she would be Suzy Bishop from Moonrise Kingdom because “living in the world of Wes Anderson would be dope.”
Sam Scullen From: Alexandria, VA. Major: Kinesiology. Class of 2017. If Sam could have a superpower it would be shapeshifting to allow her to breathe underwater, fly, or run really fast by changing into different animals.
Jonathan Thomas. From: Leesburg, VA. Major: Parks and Outdoor Recreation. Class of 2017. If Jon could have any super power it would be the ability to use The Force. He has a cat named Watson and someday would like to do a trip to Kilimanjaro.
Adam Derstine. From: Bristow, VA. Major: Accounting. Class of 2017. If Adam could swap lives with any fictional character it would be Captain Jack Sparrow.
Charles Coats From: Northern Virginia Major: Environmental & Sustainability Studies. Class of 2013. If he could swap lives with any finctional character it would be Kirby from Nintendo. His dream trip would be leading a group kayaking in the Everglades.
Abraham Kadi From: Virginia Beach, VA Major: Integrative Studies concentrating in International Studies. Class of 2018. Abe has lived in Guam, Arizona, Japan, and Virginia.
Alex Butterfield. From: Herndon, VA. Major: Recreation, Parks, Tourism. Radford University Class of 2015. If Alex could have a superpower he would love to be able to manipulate the weather. His dream trip would be to do a cage free dive with Great White Sharks.
Emily Busch. From: Carthage, NY. Major: Kinesiology. Class of 2019. Emily was part of a group that broke the Guinness World Record for largest floating raft of canoes and kayaks. Her dream trip is to summit Mt. Everest.
Emily Cissell. From: Hambach, Germany. Major: Outdoor Recreation. Minor: Jazz Studies. If Emily could be a fictional character she’d be Leslie Knope “because she understand that waffles are far greater than pancakes and loves the outdoors.”
