Packing list
(** indicates gear you can borrow from us)
- Travel Gear:
- **Sleeping bag and stuff sack – Your bag should be able to fit into a stuff sack (a nylon bag that closes tightly). Bags without stuff sacks tend to get loose thus causing packing challenges and headaches.
- **Sleeping pad – Sleeping pads provide insulation from the ground and padding for more comfortable sleeping. Lightweight closed cell foam pads are the best. Open cell foam type sleeping pads (mattress toppers) are not acceptable. If they get wet, they are very heavy and provide no insulation.
- Travel Pillow (optional)
- **Backpack (50-60 liter volume) – Due to limited space, you will only be permitted one bag and a day pack as luggage.
- **Day Pack (small backpack)
- Clothing:
- Durable footwear (hiking boots, running shoes, or similar with a rubber sole) These must have closed-toes (no sandals)
- T-shirts
- Shorts
- Socks and underwear – please bring enough for one pair per day plus one to two extra. We strongly recommend at least one pair of wool or synthetic socks. If you only have cotton socks, bring extras.
