Competition Pool Construction

Hello! Welcome to our construction update page. We have been undergoing a lot of work  in the competition pool. As you can see by the pictures below it is going well and moving along.

First we had a soil stabilizer injected along the outside wall of the competition pool. This will help keep outside water away from the competition pool shell and out of the timing system. Being the lowest point on campus we get a lot of water trickling this way, but we don’t need any extra in  or around the pool!

Injections

After the injections were completed and cured we started de-chlorinating the water and draining on July 9th!

Draining!

Once all the water had been drained, the far wall tile being removed to continue repairs. It’s exciting stuff at the AFC!
