Activities Building Event Closure Notice – Thursday, April 16

Due to upcoming campus events, the Activities Building will be closed for non-event use for the following event:
April 16 – Grand Opening. The building will reopen for regularly scheduled activities on April 17 at 10 a.m.
Please note that PV Lot will be closed starting 4/15 at 11 p.m. through 4/17 at 7 a.m. for the Grand Opening. For all parking needs, please utilize either the back of Lot J and Lot K for the time being.

Activities Building Grand Opening

 

George Mason students, faculty, staff, and alumni— celebrate the Grand Opening of the Activities Building with us THIS Thursday, April 16, from 3 – 7 p.m.

Join us for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of the building with President Washington, then explore the space, connect with friends, and experience one of George Mason’s newest hubs for creativity, connection, and student engagement.

Facility Closure Notice – Monday, March 16, 2026

Attention Members and Guests,
Due to impending weather, all recreation facilities will close at 2 p.m. today, March 16. Skyline Fitness Center will not open. We will send an update if any changes in facility hours occur into tomorrow.

Attention Members and Guests,
Due to inclement weather, our facilities will have the following hours on Monday, February 23:
Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC): 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Activities Building (AB): 10:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Recreation & Athletic Complex (RAC): 10:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Skyline Fitness Center: 3 p.m. – Midnight

Altered Hours Notice – Sunday, February 22

Due to the weather, the following facilities will be closing early today, Sunday, February 22:
  • The Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC) and Activities Building (AB) will both close early at 6 p.m.
  • The Recreation & Athletic Complex (RAC) will close at 8 p.m.
  • The Skyline Fitness Center will close at 10 p.m.

2026 Spring Break Hours

Attention Members and Guests,
George Mason University’s Spring Break is right around the corner! From Saturday, March 7 – Saturday, March 14, we will be adjusting our hours as follows:
AQUATIC & FITNESS CENTER (AFC)
Monday – Thursday 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Please check our lane charts for pool hours.
ACTIVITIES BUILDING (AB)
Mondays – Fridays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturdays Closed
Sundays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
RECREATION & ATHLETIC COMPLEX (RAC)
Mondays – Fridays 3pm-8pm
Saturdays – Sundays 1pm-5pm
SKYLINE FITNESS CENTER
Skyline will close early at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6, and remain closed until reopening at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 16.
OUTDOOR VENUES
Our outdoor venue hours will NOT change during Spring Break. Starting March 16, these spaces will have the following hours:
Pickleball Courts
Mondays – Sundays: 8am-11pm
Tennis Courts
Mondays – Fridays 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturdays – Sundays 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Outdoor Basketball Courts
Mondays – Sundays: 8am-8pm
Field 3, 4, 5
Mondays – Fridays 12 – 9 p.m.
Saturdays – Sundays 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.
RAC Field
Mondays – Thursdays 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Fridays 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturdays 1 – 8 p.m.
Sundays 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Extended Minor Hours Notice

Attention Members and Guests,
In recognition of the delay to get students back in person to schools across Fairfax County, we will be extending our minor hours to all operating hours of the facilities from today, February 2 – Sunday, February 15.
The parent/guardian accompanying a minor must have a valid Mason Recreation membership and must purchase a day pass ($5/day) or annual membership ($200/year) for the minor. Groups must also abide by all minor policies while utilizing the facilities.
