AFC Competition Pool To Reopen Tues, Jan 10

AFC facility update
Dear Mason Recreation Members,
The AFC Competition pool will partially re-open for use on Tuesday, January 10th. The portion of the pool near the lifeguard office will be open, while other parts of the pool deck will continued to be closed for use. Please speak to one of our lifeguards if you have any questions about deck access at this time.

Attention Patriots,

Due to emergency maintenance, the AFC competition pool will be closed until further notice. We will post an update here and on social media when it is open! Don’t forget – we have an Email Alert System. To receive these emails, please follow the link below to fill in your name and email, and you will receive alerts when we have any change in our facility schedules.

Adjusted Facility Hours: Finals & Winter Break

Heads up Patriots! Our Recreation Facilities will have adjusted hours during finals week, as well as during winter break. See more below!

• Sunday, December 11: Closing at 10:00 pm
• Monday, Decmber 12: Closing at 10:00 pm
• Tuesday, December 13: Closing at 8:00 pm
• Wednesday, December 14: Closing at 8:00 pm

Skyline Fitness Center

• Saturday, December 10: Colsing at 10:00 pm
• Sunday, December 11: Closing at 9:00 pm
• Monday, December 12: Closing at 7:00 pm

Winter Break hours | December 15 – January 21

Aquatic and Fitness Center 

  • Monday – Friday:  7:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Our facilities will uphold the following daily schedules. Please note that these hours are subject to change given University closures/ holidays, inclement weather situations, and more. Stay in the know on any changes to our daily hours by signing up for our facility alert emails using this link.

  • Monday – Thursday: 7 am – 11 pm
  • Friday: 7 am – 9 pm
  • Saturday: 1 pm – 8 pm

  • Saturday – Sunday: 5 pm – 12 am

Students! Summer Session starts on May 16

The Mason Rec summer student membership period begins May 16!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Active Students – If you are a student taking any summer credits, you have an active membership.
  • Inactive students – Those that were enrolled in classes Spring ’22 (that have not graduated and are not taking summer classes) can purchase a Summer Membership for $30 online at Connect.recreation.gmu.edu/membership.
  • Visiting Student Membership – Mason Rec offers summer memberships to students of other universities for just $100. Tell your friends that they can purchase a discounted Mason Rec membership by presenting their university ID card at the front desks.
