Facility Event Closure – Tuesday, May 5

 

Attention Members and Guests,

To celebrate our student employees and all their hard work this year, our facilities will have altered hours on Tuesday, May 5: 

The Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC), Recreation and Athletic Complex (RAC), and all outdoor venues will be closed from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The pools will close 30 minutes before the AFC at 10 a.m.

Our Activities Building (AB) and Skyline Fitness Center will open at 3 p.m.

Finals Week and Summer 2026 Hours

The university’s finals week and summer break are right around the corner. Our facilities will have the following altered hours:
ACTIVITIES BUILDING
Finals Tapering Hours:
– May 10 – May 13: 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Summer Hours: May 14-August 22
-Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
-Saturday: CLOSED
-Sunday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
AQUATIC AND FITNESS CENTER
Summer Hours: May 14-August 22
-Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
-Friday: 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
-Saturday-Sunday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
RECREATION ATHLETIC COMPLEX

Summer Hours: May 14-August 22
-Field 3,4, & 5 will be closed unless an event is scheduled.
-RAC field will follow the same schedule as the RAC building unless we have scheduled events

Pickleball
-Monday-Sunday: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Tennis
-Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Basketball/Pickleball
-Monday-Sunday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Facility Closure Notice – Monday, March 16, 2026

Attention Members and Guests,
Due to impending weather, all recreation facilities will close at 2 p.m. today, March 16. Skyline Fitness Center will not open. We will send an update if any changes in facility hours occur into tomorrow.

2026 Spring Break Hours

Attention Members and Guests,
George Mason University’s Spring Break is right around the corner! From Saturday, March 7 – Saturday, March 14, we will be adjusting our hours as follows:
AQUATIC & FITNESS CENTER (AFC)
Monday – Thursday 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Please check our lane charts for pool hours.
ACTIVITIES BUILDING (AB)
Mondays – Fridays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturdays Closed
Sundays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
RECREATION & ATHLETIC COMPLEX (RAC)
Mondays – Fridays 3pm-8pm
Saturdays – Sundays 1pm-5pm
SKYLINE FITNESS CENTER
Skyline will close early at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6, and remain closed until reopening at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 16.

Our outdoor venue hours will NOT change during Spring Break. Starting March 16, these spaces will have the following hours:

Delayed Opening – January 29, 2026

Attention members & guests,

Due to the university’s delayed open, our facilities will have the following altered hours on Thursday, January 29:

Aquatic and Fitness Center (AFC): 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Activities Building (AB): 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Recreation Athletic Complex (RAC): 9:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Skyline Fitness Center: 3 p.m. – Midnight

Due to the ongoing response to this extraordinary storm, some areas on campus or in the region might still have snow and ice that has not been removed or treated. Please avoid these areas and utilize paths or roads that have been cleared. Facilities is continuing to address areas on campus. Keep your personal safety in mind and use good judgement while getting to campus and moving around campus. If you have concerns about travel to campus or on campus please speak to your instructor or supervisor about additional flexibility.

The area surrounding our Activites Building (AB) is not as cleared as expected, and this facility will now open from 2 – 11 p.m. We will post any further changes in our operating schedules on our website and send an email update.
