M. Soccer- Men’s Club Soccer came to compete this past weekend! After hosting two tough games last weekend they came into this weekend with hopes of redeeming themselves on their home turf. Saturday, they put up a great fight against GWU and came up just short ending the game (1-0 L). However, Sunday, the team took on Mary Washington University and piled 4 goals in the back of the net to pick up their 2nd win of the season (4-2 W)! Men’s Club Soccer will host Georgetown this Saturday at home.

Football- Club Football opened their season this weekend vs Ohio State. The team started off solid; Mason’s defense punished the Buckeyes offense and looked to be a well matched opponent. However, costly turnovers would prove to be the dagger for the team. Mason’s captain stated “The Mason team never stopped fighting through the adversity, and showed great sportsmanship regardless of the score.” Club Football hopes to redeem themselves this weekend as they host their first home game of the season vs Williamson College of The Trades (10/1 @ 1pm).

Their only loss of the day was against American (6-8), however their second game against American proved they were the better team. Captain Rebecca Curtis was quoted, “This was our first tournament of the season and it could not have gone better. Our rookies are INCREDIBLE. We cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.”

W. Rugby- Women’s Rugby avenged themselves this past weekend as they beat Catholic University 43-10!
