Do you want to get out and explore on your own, but don’t have the gear? We can help! Outdoor Adventures offers a full line of rental equipment; so whether you need snowshoes for a winter hike, backpacking equipment for a weekend at Shenandoah National Park, or just a tent for the backyard, we’ve got you covered.
We currently have two options for you to rent equipment:
Drop-In Rentals
Between September 1st and April 30th, equipment is available to be rented by stopping by the Skyline Fitness Center from Monday – Friday between the hours of 3 pm – 5 pm. Rentals outside of these days and times cannot be fulfilled. We are not open for equipment rentals or returns on weekends.
Rental Appointments
During the summer months or for rental needs outside of our normally staffed hours, you can make a reservation appointment request by emailing [email protected]. Please note that reservations and appointments can be fulfilled as staffing availability allows and reservation requests must be submitted at least 3 days in advance of the pickup date. Any requests made after that time cannot be guaranteed to be fulfilled. We are not open for equipment rentals or returns on weekends.
Rental Policies
We are currently only issuing rental equipment to Mason students, faculty, or staff
Any late returns will incur a late fee equal to the daily rental price for each day that the rental is late.
