Course Description
This course trains candidates to teach water safety programs, including the Basic Water Rescue course, the six levels of the Learn to Swim program, and Parent and Child Aquatics.
Prerequisites
- Be 16 years old by last day of class.
- Perform 25 yards each of the following strokes at a Level 4 or better:
- Front crawl
- Back crawl
- Sidestroke
- Elementary backstroke
- Butterfly (15 yards)
- Float in deep water.
- Tread water for one minute.

Attendance at all class times is mandatory for certification.
