Dear Members, Guests, & our Mason family,

The impacts from the coronavirus outbreak are causing significant disruptions to student life at George Mason and elsewhere. Many students lack the financial cushion needed to travel home, to find alternate housing arrangements, or even to be sure where their next meal is coming from.

Your gift to this fund will provide urgent help to students who may be facing an unexpected financial crisis or medical emergency that could derail their progress towards a degree. Every donation will help a student in need—empowering them to succeed.

Mason Recreation’s Response to COVID-19

To our Members and Guests,

The health and safety of our patrons is our top priority. In consideration of the current situation, we strongly discourage community members from visiting the Recreation Facilities at this time. To assist in limiting exposure on campus, Mason Recreation has made several adjustments to programs and services offered at this time.

All adjustments made to our facility hours, programs, and services can be viewed here: ulife.gmu.edu 

At this time we encourage everyone to practice basic health and safety precautions.

In Recreation Facilities

  • Clean Equipment before and after each use
  • Each facility has several cleaning stations located near the fitness equipment for patrons use

In Your daily life

  • Wash hands often
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

General Self Care

  • Eat healthy foods
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Get 8 Hours of sleep a day

Aquatics and Fitness Center (AFC) 

March 7 – 8: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
March 9-13: 6:00 am – 8:00 pm
March 14: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

*Regular facility hours resume on March 15.

Recreation Athletic Complex (RAC)

March 7 – 14: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

*Regular facility hours resume on March 15.

Skyline Fitness Center

March 6:  12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
March 7 – 14: Closed
March 15 : 3:00 pm – Midnight

For every shoe purchase Potomac River Running will donate $5 towards the Mason Recreation Student Development Fund which supports career readiness. AFC Lower Fitness Area CLOSED Feb 13th

Attention Members and Guests, on Thursday, February 13, 2020 the bottom floor of theAFC fitness area will be closed to allow the installation of a new ceiling fan. It will reopen for use Friday, February 14, 2020.
