Update regarding 2023 AFC construction

Mason Recreation previously announced a period of construction at the AFC set to begin in March 2023 that would close the facility through the summer. Some of the construction projects to be accomplished during this period include retiling the competition pool, installing new skylights, and replacing the pool bulkheads.

We have received new information and now expect the project to progress in a phased progression, allowing some parts of the AFC to remain open while others are closed for construction. The project is estimated to start late Spring 2023 and be completed over the next few years.

Mason Rec will continue to provide updates on the AFC construction project as information becomes available.
